Position Summary

SHEIN is hiring a Senior Industrial Engineer Specialist for the IE Execution team based in Whitestown, IN. The IE team is a group of operational leaders driving process and operational system optimization, layout design, automation, and continuous improvement for the US Fulfillment Network.

This role will be responsible for leading the execution of cross-functional projects throughout our multi-facility campus in Whitestown, IN. This role works closely with the site operations, product, planning, IT, and operations management teams to develop and execute metric-improving initiatives. This role will contribute to both project initiation and planning and executing. The candidate is expected to contribute individually and as a team member of the larger engineering organization. The ideal candidate will be able to take operational feedback and translate this to a technical problem statement that can be measured and solved for.

We're seeking a full-time Senior Industrial Engineer Specialist for our warehouse-based office.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct time studies, workflow analysis, and process mapping to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in warehouse operations.
• Use data analysis and statistical methods to develop solutions for improving process flow, labor utilization, and overall operational performance.
• Collaborate with operational teams to implement and test process changes, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to daily operations.
• Drive projects focused on cost reduction, space optimization, labor productivity, and quality improvement within the warehouse environment.
• Utilize engineering principles and tools to design and implement systems that enhance safety, ergonomics, and overall working conditions for warehouse associates.
• Generate reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate project findings, progress, and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels.
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives and continuous improvement projects to support the overall growth and success of SHEIN's operations.
• Communicate with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and automation vendors through scheduling, testing, and commissioning of new equipment
• Develop automated and non-automated solutions to operational pain-points to drive improvements to inefficiencies
• Balance multiple projects at a time by prioritizing and scheduling.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or other engineering-related fields.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a distribution center or fulfillment environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as CAD, Excel, and statistical software.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. xhyhwjd
