Job Description

UHY is partnering with our client to identify an experienced International Senior Tax Accountant for a full-time, direct-hire opportunity in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This role is onsite five days per week and will support an established corporate tax organization within a large, complex enterprise.

The International Senior Tax Accountant will provide hands-on support across U.S. international tax compliance, tax provision and cross-border reporting activities in a large-enterprise environment. This role will prepare and review complex international tax workpapers and filings, analyze tax data, resolve technical issues, support reporting and audit requirements, and help strengthen recurring international tax processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review U.S. international tax compliance workpapers, calculations and supporting documentation for complex multinational operations.

• Support U.S. international information reporting, related schedules and applicable cross-border tax filings.
\n
• Prepare and analyze foreign tax credit, earnings and profits and other U.S. international tax calculations as applicable.
\n
• Support quarterly and annual income tax provision processes, including international components of ASC 740 calculations, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
\n
• Research international tax issues, document conclusions and support responses to tax notices, audits and information requests.
\n
• Reconcile tax accounts and source data to underlying financial records and investigate discrepancies affecting compliance or provision accuracy.
\n
• Partner with domestic tax, accounting, finance and other stakeholders to gather data, resolve technical issues and support cross-border reporting requirements.
\n
• Improve recurring international tax workpapers, documentation, data flows and compliance processes and help establish sustainable practices across the tax organization.

Skills And Qualifications

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or a related field.
\n
• 10+ years of progressive corporate tax experience with substantial hands-on U.S. international tax compliance and reporting responsibility.
\n
• Experience supporting Fortune 500 or similarly large, complex multinational organizations is required.
\n
• Strong knowledge of U.S. international corporate tax concepts, information reporting requirements and ASC 740 tax provision principles.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and review complex international tax calculations, workpapers and filings with strong attention to accuracy and documentation.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to enter an established tax environment, establish priorities quickly, work independently, manage competing deadlines and deliver accurate work with limited ramp-up.
\n
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with tax and ERP platforms such as Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE, Corptax, SAP, Oracle, Workday or comparable systems.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with tax, accounting and finance stakeholders in a large corporate environment.
